Timepiece

The clock never falters Until its life dies Replacing its batteries And again time flies The hands never stop Ticking by so fast Erasing all memories Beating away our past The numbers never change They’re always the same Rhythmically proceeding Forgetting our shame Time is a story Told by a clock Whispering inside us Throughout life’s walk
