Timeless Love

Love that once burned so bright, Lost in the darkness of endless night. Distance drove us far apart, A divide between us, a broken heart. You needed space, I found someone new, But my heart still longed for only you. Five others came, but nothing compares, To the love we shared, no one compares. Why did you go, was it meant to be? Were we just young and blind to see? Maybe we were perfect for each other, But fate had other plans to discover. Questions remain, unanswered in my heart, Longing for answers that'll never start. But still, I cling to memories so true, Of a love that was real, and forever grew. Memories of laughter and joy, Of whispers of love, that nothing could destroy. Of moments so perfect, they were hard to find, A love that was more than just in the mind. Though we may be apart, The echoes of love will never depart. For the love we shared was more than a phase, It was a love that set our hearts ablaze. So, I'll hold onto the memories so dear, Of a love that will always be near. And though we may never be together again, The echoes of love will forever remain.
