Time Will Not Wait
Birds will descend on the fields of brown wheat
Missed grains leftover for the birds to eat
Instinct will guide them for the flight to come
To store energy they’ll eat every crumb.
Bears feed on berry bushes to the fill
In cold waters, they take salmon at will
Their last chance to store fat as they prepare
When nature says they must go to their lair.
The squirrels scurry round as nuts they find
Bury them as treasures of every kind.
Animals know when they must plan ahead
For if they don’t they may just end up dead.
How many times does man procrastinate?
Heed natures warning, for time will not wait.
