Time Trap
Childhood went away
in a blink of an eye
How am I supposed
to be adult now?
Stay warm
in this cold world
where it’s seriousness
fills my veins
making me pretend
to blend in just great
Too much responsibility
I can’t take it all
it’s blurring my vision
of joy I held upon
There are days that I wish
there was a reverse card
so I could one last time
believe in Santa’s guard
