Time To Spare

Free running brook, run happily, Man is too busy to notice you, except a few, Who have some time to spare. Blossoming tree, shed some of your fragrance on me, Remind me of my youthful days, and springtime ways, when I had time to spare. Clouds in the sky, keep drifting leisurely by, Help me to take the time to see, all of life's beauty surrounding me, Help me make sure to have some time to spare. Giggling girl, and boy with windblown curl, Teach me how in the moment to live, Help me to learn how not to give, A single thought to any future care. God of my heart, help me to set time apart, Time to reflect on your beautiful ways, And reasons to serve You all my days, Help me to see why I need time to spare. (copyright 10/30/15)

Hi Laura, I think I may have made a mistake in submitting my poetry. At the old website I used to use, your poetry was automatically copyrighted just by sharing it. I thought that poetrysoup.com had the same policy. However, a recent reading of the Terms and Agreement makes me think that I was to have personally copyrighted my poetry BEFORE I submitted it. Would you please let me know their policy. If it is what I'm afraid it is, I will have to delete my poems. I had in mind to copyright an entire collection of poems under one title, which I am not free to name. Arlene Binner

Hi Laura, I made a reply at the wrong place. This is a totally new experience for me and I have much to learn. I was very inspired by your poem about the old man and his dog taking a walk. It had such depth of understanding and was expressed so well. I look forward to reading more of what you have written. Arlene Binner
