Time To Say Goodbye

Had him as a puppy, now he's old and frail. The only thing he can do anymore is only wag his tail. I know the time has come for me to say goodbye. He looks at with understanding as i try not to cry. As I drive him to the vet memories of him being a puppy come flooding back to me. I look over at my dear old friend and pat his head tenderly. As I take him in to the vet he gives me one last look, and lick on the hand. The look in his eyes told me not to worry I understand.
