Time Stands Still
Endless space transports my soul
to a place where time stands still.
And though I'm part of the whole,
its vastness gives me a chill.
Galaxies swirling above me
formed billions of years ago.
And yet, today, I still see
light from their initial glow.
Shining stars dazzle and daze,
twinkling in the Milky Way.
And their light will still amaze
billions of years from today.
The universe blows my mind,
for it means forever's real.
And infinity, defined,
affects how I think and feel.
