Time Out
Maybe what we need is an elementary time out
To think about life, love, and dispel the doubt
I know it's there, I can see it in your soulful eyes
No sunglasses or blinders could ever disguise
I thought we were good, but people do misjudge
The pain in my eyes is apparent and so real
If only you understood just how I feel
About you and me and the life we both lead
Like hope and trust, faith and happiness
Things that are supposed to be dealt with finesse
After a while you start to lose touch with me
We are far from where we wanted to be
Was it something I did? Some bad thing said?
That made you stray away from our bed
Perhaps it just isn't meant for us two
Perhaps our love was to good to be true
