Sometimes you have to make time for you.

Busy me, the time is rare, When I can make myself aware, To take a breath in this lagoon, And finding time that’s opportune, Even the little I can spare, I swim around from place to place, Fast I go, as if to race. Sometimes I am not aware, Of when I should come up for air, And go unto a slower pace. Getting out so not to prune, I should not enter back so soon, As heavy as the stress can be, And I think those would agree, That even I am not immune. So I don’t drift on out to sea, I must think it consciously, And if I find that is the case, All the ways I will embrace, The times for me to be with me.

You are absolutely right, being aware of the day-today duties and finding time for ourselves take us to another level of happiness. Well written words!

Congratulations, and excellent post, JD. I love the flow of the words and the impact of the message. The informative nature of the poem is great. The descriptive excellence sends terrific images. The theme of Tine, stands out, is right on point and the tone and tenor move the poem along with much grace. Great job! Have a fantastic day, and God's richest grace and blessings to you always. –Professor, Ambassador, Dr. Joseph S. Spence Sr. (Epulaeryu Master)!

I too have a program for the day. Sometimes something else crops up and I'll have to extend my working day.

*Sometimes you have to make time for you* I completely agree. Moments move at lightening speed, and it seems we are unable to run at the same pace. It's nice drifting in the wind, every now and then. This is beautiful in every way. :) Brandy
