Author's Notes: This is a "Tanka" or Japanese verse form write on the subject: "Time Flies." In this instance, I've used a "running meter" and "measurement" as the abstract images for this write. And the write, as a whole, captures the integral aspect of "Time" as an important part of our lives. The syllable count for this Tanka is: 5-7-5-7-7 (for a total of 31 syllables).
