Time and Bygone Days
So far away from now
and by chance, perhaps, somehow,
Dreams come through foggy haze
of both time and bygone days.
Younger then was our youth,
outweighed by nought but the truth;
Hidden from future’s glare
was an innocence once rare.
Beauty shifts through the mind,
no longer is it confined;
Morning alters the view
seen by eyes of fading blue.
So quickly life is changed
on ageing paths re-arranged;
We forget where and when
all of those days did begin.
