Time
The sand flows down the hourglass
This life was never built to last
I don’t think we will ever fathom
How short of time in life we truly have
We are all at the mercy of time
How long do we live before we die
Hours of the night can fade into forever
Years can fly by, losing sight of our heart’s treasure
Our minds get encaged by the darkest moments
And in our laboring, precious moments are stolen
So many words of love have been left unsaid
Until we reach our deathbed
We are all at the mercy of time
How long do we live before we die
Hours of the night can fade into forever
Years can fly by, losing sight of our heart’s treasure
Oh what a selfish way to spend your life
Always focused on the pain inside
In these numbered days that I’m alive
In love I will abide
With this time I am given
I will be more than just be breathing
I need new meaning
God please save me
We are all at the mercy of time
How long do we live before we die
Hours of the night can fade into forever
Years can fly by, losing sight of our heart’s treasure
How ignorant to think the hourglass
Will never run out on me
If only our generation could see
Oh what a waste to live your life for yourself
Do you even she a thought on how others have felt
I want to be a light for the world
On my tombstone show that God is on my throne
