Time

Condensed breath at midnight as we sit beneath the stars we are invincible no one can break us. Muffled voices at six am mock arguments over eggs poached or scrambled does it really matter? Broken coffee mugs at three I didn’t mean to drop it when you raised your voice, you scared me. Screaming at nine pm the neighbours heard it they look the other way we are fine. Shattered glass at midnight shooting stars in the night you always were my superman I never thought it would be me that met your fists.
