Time

Time tried to wait for you She spoke to her seconds Persuaded them to move slowly But nature knows best So you smiled and embraced time As time sat heavily on your shoulders Your face grow weary And as much as you tried To rub the lines off your face Time grow ever so persistent She tracked across your face And drew her precious contours
Through your struggles, time remained true She was faithful and never left your side She was precise and vigilant She stole no second from you Or awarded you extra She taught you how to manage yourself She taught you patience Persistence through all those long hours She taught you habit through repetition And crafted you, moulded and made you strong
So, you are not to blame time You are not to waste time You are not to take time for granted Thinking you stealing or saving it Your allocation is just right And within this life time You should make the best use of your time Every moment, every foot step that you take Because you can never get time back

Nice aging and time poem. We are all growing each day and we can "never get time back". I love the line "And drew her precious contours"
