After a dream of silent meditation- I saw clear a life that has been hard; full of hurt and deep wounds, yet, this girl is ready to go on; even thought battle weary in my soul. The scars inside have made me strong, and I draw on that strength for courage; oh, this life has made me resourceful, I have learned to weather the storms. Many times I have heard, "a poet must suffer" and I have a hundred times over and over, thus a poet. _______________________ January 4, 2017 Poetry/Verse/Thus A Poet Copyright Protected, ID 17-8632-21-0 All Rights Reserved.
