Thunder

First glance, Ripped apart, First I love you, Crumbling down, You came to me, As someone else. My hopes, Like vines strangling me, Anger rising, Only manifests in tears. This is not enough, Taking Stealing Exploiting, My everything. Once seduced by kisses Which tasted like fictional love stories, Cigarettes at midnight, Drinks before a night out, I now wait. For you to notice, For you to care, For you to want me, You’re my own Godot. Moving in a backward direction, Slipping into Damn my reflection, In my eyes I can see Where I have already been, Tainted gems of regret. Find me all alone, Looking through the wall of fantasies I worked so hard to build, Thoughts seeping through it Saying they find it hard.
