Through the Darkness
Through the Darkness
Caught by some frail hope I wonder.
"Twixt the vales of sorrow dim.
And my soul is cast asunder;
By the slightest evil whim.
Yet my soul in Jesus sinking;
Finds a peace to sweet to tell.
Mankind has no surer anchor;
Rose of Sharon, God as well.
Long I've wondered, never fearing;
Through this world so dark and gray.
God my Pilot, God my refuge,
Leads me on through night and day.
When my days on earth are over.
And I've reached my home at last.
I in joy will meet my Master,
This is the hope that holds me fast.
