Through Salty Tears

Young lovers lie beneath two palms; he winks. She snuggles closer, smiling, face aglow. As night draws near their sand barge slowly shrinks. Abandoned; frightened by the waves echo. Shadows on the sand, the waters drink. And cotton-clouds create a moonlight show. Beneath the palms, two praying for low tide, Through salty tears they know faith must abide. © March 15, 2012 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen
