She draws my picture in the sand
I curl my hand around her hair
Cover her hand with mine
Ten pink and purple nails
Warm hearts, sand and smiles

Her silhouette against evening sky
Etched into my longing eye
Coloured setting sun in shimmering
Little waves of water and melancholy
***
He curls his lithe frame around mine
All arms and legs, and a fluttering heart
As a little birds, frightened but brave
And I kiss him, he tastes like oranges
and fresh strawberries, and courage
