Three In the Morning

It’s three in the morning If I touch your breasts Will you respond Or scream You scream It’s three in the morning I listen to you breathing We breathe in unison For a while we become one Then I choke It’s three in the morning The smell of sex lingers The point of no return Do you care I wonder It’s three in the morning Many affairs have passed I lie thinking Was there a time Was there It’s three in the morning You’re two years gone now Time still asks questions Bitterness pollutes you All of you It’s three in the morning I lie awake The walk to the court Ten seconds to end a lifetime Divorced It’s three in the morning Death came calling Did you cry my name I lie here wondering

Compelling, yes... if a bit gruesome! Keep 'em com(pell)ing, Paul!

there's something compelling about this, written in your usual inimitable style

Good Morning Paul. Please have a seat and let me ramble. This entry is absolutely gorgeous. Yes gorgeous. All poetry elements are present including the powerful emotive factor. I will forever be a free verse person and you did justice to the format. Last but not least this entry must be read out loud with emphasis and feeling. Be proud of your execution and skill. Honestly. It was an honor turning to your page and skill. Blessings (smile) Read back your entry to see its worth.

Free verse is definitely the way to go, I get confused with other structures. Hope you're doing well, Lisa.
