Those Were the Days

These are the days that make it right, Even though you're out of sight, Not in the dark I see the light, These days are full of joy and love, We fit just like a Winters glove, Upon my hands there sits a dove, These days are raining, oh such feelings, Our hearts they sometimes need some healing, After certain words that leave us reeling, These days are full of late night phone calls, Your saddened voive as teardrops fall, While sitting in a darkened hall, These days are what we wish for in our dreams, Of so much laughter and huge ice creams, While our feet sit cooling in the stream, These days of bliss just may not last, Our ship will hit a storm and lose it's mast, And leave us stranded on the shore, sinking fast...
