This Year

Another year has made its way A time for getting older Scope to grow not just through age A chance to become bolder It's all about the learning curve Through peaks and turns we nourish This journey has its ups and downs Which can but help us flourish A point to take it by the scruff Ignite all pastures new Brush away the things of past That made us feel so blue A year to bring about some change Which could alter any season Time to reap just what we sow And churn purpose into reason

Never ceases to amaze me how years come and go but still manage to leave an impact within us all.

This is a very nice rhythmic piece of poetry, the words fill the heart and roll gently off the tongue. Emile.
