This Tiny Room

This old familiar place, This old familiar face, Seems my mirror is disgraced, And in one tiny second, It's all gone without a trace. But all the sad stories, They just seem to make me mad, Forbidden from the truth, All the joy I could have had Scared to be myself, And terrified to be wrong, Same familiar place, Same old dance and song. Just to be someone, For instance you, I'd say, To not have all the worries, And fear engulf my days. It's like being in a fire, I do presume, For the love I have for me, Isn't enough to fill this room. This tiny room, In which I sit and I stare, Wondering if I could count, All the people who really care. And this room, Is so lonely and sad, And to think all the joy, In this life I could have had.
