This Son Is Mine

I hid my smile Because you were sad I tried to comfort you But inside I'm so glad "It's just not fair" You shouted out loud" "I wanted to go, to make you so proud" "Dont worry son Your better of here" A relief I felt Released from my fear "It's what I trained for" "It's all I know" Thank you lord For not letting him go "You'll get a job" "There's lot's of thing's you can do" "But I'm a soldier mum" "My buddies , The time's we've been through" "I will pray for your buddies Please god keep them safe But you are my son I can not lose you It was totally stupid I just twisted the wrong way Torn muscle's in your back Is all the doctor's could say So I'm sorry son That your feeling such pain But your back will get better And you'll be well again It's such a shame you hurt your back Inside I smile But, It stopped you son From being sent, to fight in Irac And I'm sorry, so sorry For the people, who are there But this son is mine I'm a mother, I care "
