This poem was written for you Since you've found out life is nothing but hard No need to mention names I'm sure you know who you are Where the only feeling you have Is that brutal slap in the face That life in all of it's tragedy Seems to have strategically placed At it's very best, this poem Is a shot in the dark Firing a glimmer of hope Piercing the hardest of hearts It will stand up and honestly say What we find we can't say for ourselves Picking out of the blue, what it was meant to Leaving behind everything else It's meant to clear the over grown path Straight to the lost lonely heart Using all of it's poetic means To lift you up from where you are Though it may not be in the running It still is in the race Giving just the right measure Of that much needed grace This poem is for those lost and alone With no promise to show in hand Those sitting at the table empty Giving up on life's demands It's here to bring about a change To help you see through your minds eye This poem was written for you At just the right time in your life
