This Noose Around My Neck

I have this noose around my neck because I stole a horse. After you hang me, you won't even feel remorse. You asked if I have anything to say so I'm saying it. This is an evil law and you're evil for obeying it. Lots of people are gathered around and they're cheering. You people are all horrible, I can't believe what I'm hearing. I should be scared but I'm too angry to feel fright. You're going to kill me and you know it isn't right. Those were my last words, I have nothing else to say. Except that you'll face God's wrath on Judgement day. (This fictional poem takes place in the 19th century.)

This was an awesome poem, I think it was very historically correct. Great job Randy!

A picture of a painting that happened for real, repeatedly throughout history, Randy..and each of us will have to account for our doings here..taking of another's life is "playing God" and there are always ramifications..all huge! I think I'll write a poem about this. Thanks for the inspiration, Randy and take care..always love with a clean heart and hands. Love, Audrey
