This Light
This light!
Why do I forget it's there,
When it's here,
And everywhere I stare?
How come after I fall and incur guilt,
I see this light like a moon,
In all the darkness of my filth?
One ray will save me,
And my day,
It will keep me from sinning again.
If I am darkness,
like the darkness of space,
God is like to the moon.
Doesn't that mean deception is everywhere,
And false prophets are in bloom,
That even a rainbow is a tomb?
