This Is Where You'Ll Find Me
There are places you can find me; simply look into my dreams
I have loved these flights of fancy, it's the way it's always been
It's not too hard to find me, pick any corner of a room
Any time of day, with a book in hand, is where I'll always be
Where my mind had strayed, where I've been away, a million miles from home
My famished eyes are wide with awe, old books my second home
Upon each shelf, beneath each stack, are worlds I've never known
I stand knee-deep in ancient times, my whims go on the ride
to riddle through the writer's mind, into a honeycomb of time
Tales left in print, from long ago, reach out to share their light
Like candles tall, along strange trails, filling pages one by one
I'm far away, and won't turn back, until my quest is done
with pages worn, and stories told, until I find the sun
