This Fine Spring Day
I smelled nothing sweeter
than the new rose in bloom
Nor the smell of lilacs, upon a fine spring day.
I saw nothing better
Than the morning sun rise
With the birds flying eagerly, along on their way.
I tasted nothing juicier
Than the softness of berries
juices come alive in my mouth, refreshingly sweet.
I heard nothing prettier
Than the sound of the bells
And the sound of laughter and children’s little feet.
I felt nothing warmer
Than the touch of your hand
As you take mine and walk with me this fine spring day.
