This Autumn Night

Candles are lit lightly scenting the room. Fireplace glow dispels all the gloom. Its raining outside with a pounding beat. The cat is curled up content on her seat. There is much to love about an Autumn day even when its too wet to go out and play. I am relaxed with a book and cat's purring. Outside may be storming, in here nothing's stirring. The only thing missing on this wet, windy night is someone to share it, that is my plight.

Wow i really love this Francine, you paint the picture so well, as one reads one becomes apart of the poem, then your last stanza, just blows one away.......

A beautiful picture you have described Francine, yes you should have someone to share it with. :) But, thank you for sharing it with me. - Have a nice Sunday. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)

You have certainly set a mood here Francine. Sometimes there is peace in solace. With a flame on the wick and a crackling fire. A soft, cuddly friend and the book you desire. As the window cries tears from the rain to the pane, there's comfort inside to gaurd from disdain. Yep Francine, even though there may be one element missing, that someone to share it with, it's still a warm, fuzzy scene. Good job. Thanks for sharing it. Rockman.
