This Atlas Grins (For Hannah & Sean)

Riding upon my shoulders, innocent glee, giggling and humming nursery tunes blissfully; they bounce and they dance with the purest of joy; they shriek and they laugh, my toddler girl and boy. And I, like Atlas of old mythology, must carefully carry a fragile destiny; by the world on his back he is burdened; by these kids whom I carry, I am gladdened.

Romeo - I liked the way you express your obligation regarding your children - They are the greatest gift of our lives and also our greatest responsibility - Most of my life I was an addict and a convict and those to things make for a horrible parent - Now days I'm a good father and Grandfather - God Bless - Loved your poem
