My thought was the third world war had begun Fireworks plagued our 'hood by the megaton I placed earplugs in my ears As neighbors hailed the New Years I in blissful sleep let them have their fun

Hi Robert, we heard fireworks late New Year's Eve in our neighborhood too. But, they quieted down sooner than they did on the 4th of July. If our dogs are inside they won't bark at them. You pen well. All the best to you in 2024. ~
