Author's Notes: "Thinking Out of the Box" presents some poignant notions regarding human nature and the necessity to be flexible for positive change on both a personal and societal level. Change, per se, will always be with us. How we each approach "Change" and implement it in our individual lives will hopefully help us become a bit more flexible in solving problems and in finding and realizing more meaning in each of our respective lives. Imagine our world without any change? How boring and one-sided it would be. Something here to think about. (Gary Bateman - May 2, 2020) (Didactic)

Thinking Out of the Box Ah, yes! It is! Another one of life’s great challenges! Thinking Out of the Box should never be taken lightly. Being human beings, it is well worth remembering that we are all in this thing we call “Life” together. Does this mean the challenges that each of us face are easy? No! Life just doesn’t work that way. There will always be personal and professional challenges, and tasks and people to test our mettle. Thinking Out the Box does require, at times, to go beyond notions, ideas or concepts that are obsolete. This is where the proverbial “rub” comes in with human nature, for people tend to resist new things. It’s part of human nature for people, at times, to resist change and become set in their attitudes. Thinking Out of the Box, in this sense, is not new at all. It’s part of seeking to improve life’s situations. Thinking Out of the Box definitely has a personal and a professional meaning to us in our life’s run. Otherwise, what kind of a world would we expect to live in, if all becomes obsolete and there is no change? Gary Bateman, Copyright © All Rights Reserved November 20, 2018 (Didactic)

Just as long as I don't have to give up my liberty and personal freedom, I'm all in. Thanks for the thoughts you provoked Gary, well done...

Hello Charlie, It's been a long time since we last communicated! I've been away from Poetry Soup for a while. No worries about the liberty and personal freedom part. The concepts I discuss in my Didactic poem here are not meant nor are they oriented in any fashion to clash with one's liberty and personal freedom. I'm of the same viewpoint. In the end, it's up to each of us individually to decide how we react to things at the personal and societal level. God knows we are all inundated with so much "BS" and stuff in general nowadays. Best Wishes Always, Gary
