Things You Miss

A thing I'd never seen before A spider dwelt above my door, Him or his web I'd never seen Until we all got quarantined. Things you miss, you never see, For more than half the time you're out, Now that we are stuck indoors We can sit and look about. The funny quirks my dog displays Nooks and crannies come to light, In the slow lane, time to look At things oft hid from fleeting sight.

"Things you miss, you never see," - this is so telling and reminds me of all the things I have noticed lately I had never cared to make note of before these past few sequestered shelter-in-place weeks.

It is so true. I have been cleaning much more and am not bored because I have too much to do. Time is passing quickly for me. I will have to post my poem if it fits the contest rules. Stay safe Gary. xxoo
