in reply to many asking! yes! thimbleberries grow in Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota, we go into the forest in the middle of August when these berries ripen, they are distinguishable from reg. rasp. in that they are bigger, softer(unable to go to mkt.) and taste much!! more intense than rasp. and the plants have unusually lg. leaves, last summer my daughters & I gorged on a motherlode we found on a forested hill above Lk. Sup. unreal! finest berry flavor I've yet to find! Jim
