They Had Been With Jesus
Peter and John were with Jesus when they healed that lame man
in the presence of the Holy Spirit's graceful and merciful hands
Peter and John had preached the gospel of Christ in the temple
the Sanhedrin tried to halt them from doing what to them was very simple
Peter had once denied Jesus but that was no longer the case
he was now determined to preach the gospel boldly in society's face
they had been with Jesus and considered Him their friend
they had been with Jesus right up to the bitter end
by the way you walk, the way that you talk and by the way that you behave
that is what people notice in you as being one who is saved
to see the light of the Lord that shines from within you
to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit emanating through
when you walk in the spirit you will discover
to have been with Jesus all truths will be uncovered
a change in you will then take place
an anointing from God's infinite grace
to receive God's spiritual and healing power
that abundant heavenly supply available at any hour
you will then feel compelled to take up your towel of service
to utilize God's gift to you that is your life's purpose
the Sanhedrin Council could not spiritually comprehend
that a miracle had been enacted by those two anointed men
Peter and John were by the Council then released
the Council wanted them to promise to no longer in the temple preach
Peter and John told them you might as well take our lives
for we will never stop praising our Lord Jesus the Christ
for the gospel is our mission the gospel is our story
the gospel is what we live by and we will give Christ all the glory
don't let the world attempt to stop your salvation
tell them that Jesus died so your life could have justification
tell the unsaved, the unchurched and the devil to get behind thee
for you have been with Jesus and now preach with His authority
