'they Had a Role To Play'

Shadows & Tears
The shadows moved across her face mockingly as if to show the tears that they were not a priority – that they were not needed little did they know that sometimes without tears growth is impossible 'cause you'll remember why you cried you will not remember the shadows

I really love this poem, Wilma...it teaches a great life lesson...that crying is a good and healing emotion as long as you know WHY you're crying...at least that's what it says to me. You are a very fine poet indeed! - Tim

Stunning, Wilma! I especially like the way the shadows try to "mock" the tears. As you said so eloquently, we forget the "mocks," but always remember the source of pain that caused the tears. Miss you. Hope you are well. Love, Carolyn
