They Don'T Know

They smile and say they love me, They think I don’t know what they’re about. They try to lie in my face, They don’t know that I’ve figured them out. They talk behind my back, They play a two-faced game. They fake their own emotions, They don’t know who’s to blame. They betray their own feelings, They think that they are strong. They think they have no weaknesses, They don’t know they’re so wrong. They think I don’t understand them, They think I don’t feel their pain. They think there’s no reward in friendship, They don’t know what they could gain. They don’t know that I love them, They don’t know how much I care. They don’t know how they hurt me, They don’t know the burden I bare. They’ll learn the truth someday, They’ll finally let go of the hate. They’ll wish they could start over… But it’ll be too late.
