They Call Me Daddy

He walked out of their lives to be with another woman and treated his own as a burden. Two young boys left with their mother didn't realize their lives would change all of a sudden. One day their mother met a man. He wasn't rich nor was he perfect but willing to give All he can. This man stepped up to the plate that most men never could and he loved their mother and those boys like a real father should. It wasn't long before their daddy became a first name then eventually faded away. The words they spoken would take this man's breath away. He wasn't a first name nor was he a step dad. The boys were happy and no longer sad. They call him the hulk when he gets angry and when he gets mad. They think he's ten feet tall and bullet proof. Sometimes they even call him a goof. He picks them up when they fall and holds their hands walking down the school hall. He takes them fishing and teaches them lessons of life. He has made Their mother his wife. DNA doesn't make you a father but giving a damn does and so much more. Those boys don't refer to this man as their step daddy or a first name but they call me daddy.
