There's No Other Kind of Group I'D Rather Be In Than the Soup

Written for the cyber contest My first poem written since coming back on. Every day I used to be Part of a great family Writing words straight from my heart Then I sadly had to part Life pulled me in all directions How I missed all the selections From the poets I once read Now the words inside my head Are flowing so free and clear Its so great to be back here With friends I have missed so dearly There's no doubt--it is so clearly My second home where I belong Poetry is like a song We all share with everyone Poetry soup is so much fun A close knit community Where our words can be set free Fun and crazy--sad and true You can smile or be blue It doesn't matter how you feel The soup folks are very real Being there through everything A place where you can spread your wings Being exactly who you are Making you shine like a star
