There Were Kisses

There Were Kisses By Franklin Price 03/29/2022 When Barbara passed, it was a blur I cannot remember all Dani held her hand with me When God made the final call I thought I did not kiss her Did not touch her lips goodbye I could not help but question this Could not help but wonder why I wrote about this earlier Questioning through tears that flowed About the wife, whom I had lost Who was gone from my life's road When daughter Dani read that poem She recalled that I was nice She recalled that I had kissed her Was not only once, but twice. When Barbara was still with us She saw me kiss her on the lips Then on the forehead ,when she passed, Those memories, for me, were blips I thank God for Dani every day. That she recalled there was a kiss That she was there beside me Still in my life to bring me bliss Thank you God, that she's my daughter I pray to you on every day That you'll guide her and protect her As she moves along the way.
