There We Were

There we were out on a lake We just stared, neither spake Our eyes in meeting said it all No words required, just the call Of silent hearts, affection, woo The last one was from me to you And woo I did, I tried my best To prove my love and all the rest Like showing you so you can see How valuable you are to me And that I did through ears that heard My senses took in every word You didn't speak but loudly said A bookmark on the last page read A pause before I read again To cherish what you said 'til then
