There Is Nothing

There's nothing I can say and nothing I can do to clearly convey the way I feel about you. There's nothing you can say and nothing you can do that can change the past that we've been through. What's done is done, we did what we did can't change the past, or the horrible lies we hid. Truth always wins out, its always revealed reshatters the lives that lies broke but since healed. All trust now gone, it can't be returned trepidation and fear of being burned Can't forget the hard lessons that we learned never the way that either of us yearned. No matter the words, the actions, or all out tries we will never get past the deception, the lies The past now past will not be forgot it tempers our judgment clouds our thoughts. Suspicion distrust and both full of doubt unable too forget what this was all about. No starting anew, no clean slate to be had all good things forgotten but never the bad. Deserving of better we best part our ways if ever to enjoy life out from under this haze.
