There Is No Color

There is no color, The brilliant blues of the sky turned gray, Along with the lush green of the forest, And the orange-yellow tint of the sun. The colors have faded into nothing, Except the dark deep gray, My whole world has become. What my heart dreads most. It has become a shadow of the past, A time where monsters lurked in the darkness of our hearts. A time when fear was the norm and if you did not fear you were foolish. If you were not a fool you survived. I was a fool and now i tell this tale from atop my gravestone. Where the words 'rest in peace' where engraved by a fool. How could i ever rest in peace in a place that has been forgotten. snowflakes falling all around, quiet and sneaky. A sin in disguise, is that why it's so cold? Maybe it's because it has no purpose in life, it just falls from the sky, so slow and sly, only an empty shell. But there on the outside... it poses a question,"Do you know why I have shape?". .. No answer had came, because it melted away to rise to the sky again. The wind blew through the trees, Causing the rustling of the leaves, The broken swing set creaks, The old house is what I seek, At last everyone is at ease, In peace in a place that has been forgotten
