Then It Will End

In death we will be naked shred the disguise destroy the façade and be so vulnerable In death we will be naked With our wings we will raise we will be wind we will be sun and stars moon birds will scream With our wings we will raise From our hands light will fade it will glow softly for a while and then snuff out From our hands light will fade Our eyes will quietly break a vision will retreat will go inward remain there for just a moment Our eyes will quietly break Will there be peace in death? when no more questions are asked, no answers can be given, Will there be peace in death? *** July 11, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Top of the Afternoon Darren. Yes, you do Free Verse proud with all her emotion that she pours. This is extremely thought out Darren. Expressive is an understatement. Allow me to say yes, there is peace in death at times but only times. Very few are those times and exceptions. The word extraordinary comes to mind. Have a wonderful afternoon. Blessings always and may this be your imagination and creativity working.

Thanks Lisa. Peace indeed, not always, I agree on that too. See you, my friend :)

the poem draws you in - as to give a little peace to the reader - and to erase fears and dubiety as one's read - "Will there be peace in death?" it seem, as if you know what the reader is asking ... its a very peaceful write - although its about death

It is, isn't it? I fully agree with you Verlecia. Peaceful even though it's about death.

Thank you my friend. I like that format too indeed. It is as if you pause, repeat that in your brain and move on to the next part.
