Thematic

The typewriter, each key its purpose met. The author’s score from mind to fingertips. Illumination of her breath and sweat. The musical is moving hearts and lips. She climbs into the dark places, and sweet. The hammering, the keys clang twists, and turns. Her imagination is not discreet. The flames of her lyrics - her nails with burns. With lilted tongue - the soft and thud conquers. Alternating eyes of light and dim spell. In siren-ese, the ebb and flow bonkers. The carriage bell carries the tuneful swell.

Wow, imagine the power held in those fingers. Where a character can be brought to life or put to death in the space between two carriage bells. Creative and well-penned, Kim.

Thank you, Jerry! Check out this one I wrote in tribute to my neighbor’s book. As I read it we texted each other. Oh how she got a kick out of my reactions. https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/stirring_up_suspense_811104
