Their Rendezvous

His intention was not to fall in love right away but then you came along. You were not as bubbly as the other girls he met. There was something different about her. It was if he was destined to be with her. She seemed to be on some kind of a mission. He could see a faraway gaze in her eyes. He wondered what she was thinking about. She noticed him looking at her and said, "We are surrounded by splendor under the cherry blossom trees." "I could stay with you here forever", he said. Every year for the past six years, they came back to the same spot. The familiar unrequited love has rekindling in them. It seemed as if they never left at all. Just before they left again, they promised to never forget their rendezvous.
