The World That I Once Knew
Far below the waves
that crash the surface of my mind
Into the abyss of fathoms deep
There all by myself
with every memory I can find
lives a peace that only I may keep
Sweet and lovely dreams
of yester-year and yester-love
offer me a brief nostalgic thrill
Seeing once again
the smiles of those now high above
comforts me inside this sea of still
Take me to this world
that rests in caverns far below
let me linger till the night is through
Let me know the love
that only time can let me know
take me to the world that i once knew
