The Window
I know you are there,
I sincerely do,
You are just so transparent,
I see straight through you.
The many people you’ve seen,
The little fingers that have tapped on you,
Leaving stains, fingerprints, and marks,
My, what you’ve been through.
Have you ever wondered, being there so long,
All the junk you have to take,
Being taken for granted, unappreciated,
Could this pressure cause you to break?
But wait my glassy, glossy, sleek friend,
You mustn’t worry or fret,
You can and will be recycled by those who care,
This is only your first life, I bet.
