"the White Knight"

His path was obscure, his eyes laced with dust; Persued by clouds and a chill, howling gust- Loyal to one whose heart he did yearn; Beset with some hardship at every turn- His horse has power and spirit indeed, With stealth he strikes with blazing speed! The carnage he saw day after day And wicked men lying in death's array- Through clashing armor, he needs must go on, To rescue his love, imprisoned beyond! The battle was fierce and fought within sight, Of the maiden so fair, who loved the white knight!
